Morning Service – Testing Your Faith
1Peter 4:12-19 John 15:18-20 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 1 Thessalonians 3:2-4 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God's service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know. James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Mile markers to maturity! (12) Mile Marker 1 Don't be surprised! (13) Mile Marker 2 Share in Christ's suffering now, share in His glory later! Romans 8:17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Acts 5:41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. (14-16) Mile Marker 3 How will you know if you are on the right road? (17-18) Mile Marker 4 If you think these bumps are bad for you, they're nothing compared to what's ahead for the unbeliever! Hebrews 12:7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? Proverbs 11:31 If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner! (19) Conclusion Don't stop doing good just because you suffer for it! God's Powerful Scriptures

Morning Service – Abstain from Sinful Desires
1 Peter 2:11-12 Abstain From A CHOICE! Live Good Lives The Goal Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Following the Steps of Jesus (21) Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Isaiah 53 Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
